BunkerLove aims to breathe new life into the bunkers by transforming them into art which both commemorate lives lost and ponder past mistakes as well as look to the future positively. Bunkers for peace!
In 2019 we lean on
- THE REOCCUPIED BUNKER in Hirtshals, opening June 1, 2019 at 12, and open every day between 10 and 17 throughout June. Bunker # 42 in the Hirtshals bunker museum is the place to be. The artwork is created in collaboration between Inge Tranter, Janice Anee Hunter and Morten Poulsen, with precious participation from young people and children. The project is ongoing and also participated in the Nature Meeting in 2018.
In 2018 the artist trio P.S. performed Wish Boats at the Culture Summit 2018. P.S. previously created MAGIC MANDORLA for the Culture Summit 2017 and for Pilgrim Mors, in May 2018. Anja Korsgaard, Andrew James Zealey and Rikke Steen Mapstone

The BunkerLove Festivals since 2012 have been supported by Statens Kunstfond, KulturKANten, Hjørring municipality, Jammerbugt kommune, Aalborg- & Hjørring libraries, and by a lot of friends, family and local citizens, businesses and organisations. Truly grateful and thank you is not enough!
BunkerLove is open to all art forms. We make events through artists and organisers who live close to the Atlantic Wall bunkers. We encourage free BunkerLove initiatives.
