The Reoccupied Bunker, June 2019 in Hirtshals

Den genbesatte bunker 2019 The Reoccupied Bunker opens to the public on Saturday, June 1 at 12 o’clock. Everyone is invited and welcome to the opening.

The artwork reflects upon the power of words and of the meaning of propaganda in a war.

The Reoccupied Bunker is an art installation in bunker no. 42 in the Hirtshals Bunker museum. It is created by children and young people in collaboration with artist Inge Tranter, ceramist Janice Anee Hunter and sound artist Morten Poulsen. The bunker is open to the public every day throughout June, from 10-17 o’clock. Entrance is free.

Bunker no. 42 in the Hirtshals Bunker museum is located across the light house.

The Reoccupied Bunker is supported by BMMK, UMMK, North Denmark Region, Hjørring municipality, and in collaboration with Hirtshals Lighthouse, The Historical Museum of Vendsyssel, The Bunker Group, Frederikshavn School of Production, South Gate Writing Society, BGK Nordkraft Aalborg, The Nature Meeting 2018 and Hirtshals Town Anniversary.
