Michael Richardt presented part of his RULE PINK performance sequence on the beach for Alert BunkerLove Festival 2013 in Hirtshals. Rule Pink is a series of artworks examining aspects of his relationship with his mother.
“STELLA was my mother’s name when she worked as an society girl in Hamburg and Greece when she was young. Iridescence is a reflection or a refraction on a surface, Colours change with the angle of refraction and can appear in all the colours of the rainbow. The Greek word for rainbow is “iris”. The rainbow is not actually a bow, but a circle, in which only one part is visible from the position of the viewer. My role and mission is, like the rainbow, to enclose and embrace.”

STELLA, var min mors navn, da hun som ung arbejdede som selskabspige i Hamburg og Grækenland.
IRIDESCENCE, er en refleks eller en lysbrydning i en overflade. Farver skifter efter lysbrydningens vinkel og kan forekomme i alle regnbuens farver. Det græske ord for regnbue er iris. Regnbuen er i sandhed ikke en bue, men en cirkel, hvor kun en del af den er synlig, fra beskuerens position. Min rolle og mission er som regnbuen at omslutte og altomfavne.
